the Ashby Boat Company. From this base you have access to countryside canal cruising in the heart of rural England, as well as access to heritage canal networks such as the Warwickshire Ring that takes you through the centre of Birmingham. |

original canal side cottages that housed the company waterways
employees who supervised and worked the wharf when canal traffic was
the main means of moving large heavy loads around the country. Please note the "blue plaque" that these cottages have been awarded because of their historic connections. |

The
Ashby Boat Company reception parking area and office. Holiday boat crews will park their vehicles here while transferring their luggage to their hired narrowboat moored adjacent to the car park. Cars will then be parked in a secure car park at the rear of the office. |
| The
reception office where hirers, and potential hirers are greeted. Our staff or more usually the joint owners of the company will assist visitors in selecting which boat, or route, may best suit their requirements.  The
yard is all on one level, but is covered with gravel, so wheel chair
access is possible, but assistance may be necessary. Where steps are encountered a ramp can be provided to provide easier access to reception. Disabled access to the toilet facilities is restricted, with actual access by wheelchair not possible. |
